Know Before You Go

  • The following policies apply to all bookings:

    Deposits & Payments

    • A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

      • For standard luau packages, the deposit is $125 and will be applied toward your total package price.

      • For Fiesta Fuego (large group package), a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.

    • Final payment is due no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled event.

    • Late Payment: If full payment is not received by the 48-hour deadline, your reservation may be canceled without refund of the deposit.

    • Last-Minute Bookings: For bookings made less than 48 hours before the event, full payment is due at the time of booking.

    Weather Policy

    • Due to the nature of outdoor events, we do not offer refunds due to weather conditions.

    • If the forecast is unfavorable, we are happy to reschedule your event to another available date, subject to availability.

    Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

    • Rescheduling for any reason other than weather is allowed with a $50 rebooking fee, subject to availability.

    • Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a partial refund of any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit.

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable.

    • No-Shows: Failure to attend your scheduled event without notice is considered a no-show and is non-refundable.

    • Same-day refunds are not issued, and full refunds are not provided under any circumstances.

  • By booking with Overland SPI, the customer agrees to the following terms:

    • The customer assumes full responsibility for any personal injury or damage to personal property occurring during the event.

    • The customer is responsible for the conduct of all attending guests and for ensuring compliance with local beach regulations.

    • Please treat our setup with care! The booking party will be held responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement for any Overland SPI property that is lost, damaged, stolen, or destroyed due to guest actions — including but not limited to negligence, noncompliance with rules, or misuse of equipment by any member of their party.

    • South Padre Island and Cameron County have strict beach ordinances. Violations may result in fines or penalties and may negatively affect our business and permitting. The following are strictly prohibited:

      • Glass containers of any kind

      • Fireworks or firecrackers

      • Explosive items such as confetti or glitter (considered littering)

      • Unauthorized fire sources or burning of any material other than provided firewood

      • Disposing of trash in the fire — all waste must be properly placed in designated trash receptacles

      • Littering, which is subject to fines of up to $2,000 by local authorities

    • Children must be supervised at all times and kept at a safe distance from the fire. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    • Fire pits and flames present inherent hazards. Guests should use caution, avoid loose clothing near open flames, and maintain a respectful distance.

    Overland SPI reserves the right to deny service or remove any individual(s) from the event in the event of disorderly conduct, violation of these terms, or behavior deemed unsafe or disruptive to the experience and general public. This is to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and well-being of all guests, staff, and the surrounding beach environment.

    **Overland SPI is not liable for any injuries, burns, or damages resulting from negligence, noncompliance with these policies, or guest misconduct.**

  • All guests attending a luau with Overland SPI must review and agree to the following safety protocols:

    1. An Overland SPI staff member will be present during the event to manage and maintain the fire pit.

    2. Guests are not permitted to touch, adjust, or interact with the fire pit or equipment in any way. This includes adding wood, adjusting grill components, or interfering with the fire structure.

    3. The only exception is the use of provided roasting sticks for s’mores or food items, which must be used responsibly.

    4. Guests acknowledge that fire is inherently dangerous and agree to exercise caution around the bbq pit, tiki torches, and all heat sources.

    5. Overland SPI assumes no responsibility for injuries, burns, or damages resulting from failure to follow these safety instructions.

    6. By participating in this event, all guests waive and release Overland SPI, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any and all liability associated with fire-related risks.
